Shirt design
I did this a long time ago like 3 quarters ago? It's for my sister since she is in the navy in Japan so I was designing a shirt for her. Unfortunately I had to put it off multiple times so I was never able to finish it. I would love to give it to her before she comes back home to visit, which is in 3 weeks. o - o What should I change or add? Should I do lineart or leave it as colored shapes?
Re: Shirt design
Yo Bobbie,
I found a website that will do custom shirts: http://www.customink.com/
Most places don't do just one but they seem to be cool with single orders. The more you order the less they cost. One shirt with a custom design is about 25 bucks.

Re: Shirt design
I wouldn't add line art, I like the vector looking feel to it, it's simple and cute. I would add some light cell shading.

I agree that some light cell shading would be nice if you go sparingly. Maybe just enough to define areas.

Re: Shirt design
See for me I would add lines because some of the shapes are morphing into each other. You don't have to go with a black line though, use a darker shade of the color you used for the shape would look good. I really like it btw, so cute!
Re: Shirt design
I just have to say that is some good graphics. I agree that lines Mike be a little unnecessary but the colors as is kind of blend in together, maybe make them a little bit darker. And I do think you can make a profit of this if you sold more than 1 shirt.
Re: Shirt design
If she chooses not to use lines then she would have to shade because there are just parts of the character that you can not tell from other parts. My opinion though. I love this look!
Re: Shirt design
Yeah, I'm still loving the one without the lines, but i totally get why you need them for on a shirt.
Adorable either way. I would totally wear this
