Downloading Maya
I don't know if I just went to the wrong website, or if my hippocampus has just expired, but I am having a doozy of a time trying to find the Maya "download right this instant" button or any button for that matter. Maya seems to be non-existant in the Autodesk download center.
I could DEFINITELY use some help. Any links to said button will be most appreciated. Any other links, or baby steps for me to follow will be..2nd most appreciated, but due to my poor word choice slightly less appreciated.

Re: Downloading Maya
You should be able to find the free trial here Down Load 30 Day Maya Trial Select your operating system and start the download. but if you downloaded it before, than it might now let you download it again. you could reformat your computer if you don't want to buy it, than you can download it again. (I think, I did that once)
Re: Downloading Maya
Thanks for the help baldi.
It seems that once again I solved my own problem though. I took my computer to Geek Squad and told them to download it.
The first Geek Squad was more like the 'jerk squad' They refused to try or even look at getting the student version onto my computer. They said that there was no way a program like that would be offered for free. We then came to an agreement that they would give me the program in exchange for $3,500 or something like that. So, I slept on it for 2.5 nanoseconds, then a vein burst in my forehead and I politely lied to the woman's face telling her that I understand completely and thanks for listening to me.
I then went to the Geek Squad in Draper, and the told me to grab my computer and that they would take a peek. Maya showed up (it wasn't showing up before) and they downloaded it right then and there.
The conclusion they came to: The stupid Sprint internet hotspot thingy that I have, has too crappy of internet for a project as big as downloading Maya. They told me that with the Sprint thingy,my computer was only showing the software it could handle downloading. Therefore when I brought it in to them it finally had a good enough signal to attempt my request.
SO BASICALLY:
If you go to download the student version of Maya and it just isn't showing up in the list of free software, try taking you computer to a library or a Best Buy and use their internet to try. It should show up while you're there. Some homes and even some schools don't have good enough internet for this task.
